Massimo Selmo

Massimo Selmo graduated from Bocconi University and completed the LEAP Leadership Executive Advanced Programme at INSEAD Singapore. He began his career at KPMG Italy, pursuing a management career at a leading global multinational in B2B food (Barry Callebaut) with roles in financial administration (CFO Italy) and, from 1999, in Zurich as head of global sourcing (CPO), building and leading a team with a worldwide presence and deep-rooted experience in agro-commodities and trading. Since 1999, he has lived and resided in Switzerland, spending much of his time abroad following the team of subsidiaries mainly in the Americas and SEA. In 2016, he joined the BoD of Mass Challenge Switzerland (start-up accelerator) as one of its founding members, closely following the world of start-ups at an international level with a focus on food, agri-commodities, circular economy, sustainability and innovation. Since 2021, he has been co-founder, investor and member of the BoD of Aloja Starkelsen, a leader in the production of ingredient solutions for the food industry.
