Roberto Testore is a manager with a long and prestigious career in major Italian industrial groups. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin and began his career at Fiat in 1976. After his first experience as Chief Operating Officer at the Unimorando Group, he joined COMAU in 1986, where he became Chief Executive Officer and General Manager. In 1996, he took over the helm of Fiat Auto, leading the globalisation and relaunch of the Alfa Romeo brand, with models awarded “Car of the Year”. From 2002 to 2004, he was CEO of Finmeccanica, where he led an important phase of internationalisation. He then became CEO of Trenitalia (2004–2006), launching the high-speed service. In 2008, he founded Fante Group, an independent consulting firm, and joined the Banca Investis Group. From 2018 to 2024, he was CEO of Sofinter and AC Boilers, which are active in the construction of large industrial boilers globally. He has held numerous positions on the boards of directors of companies such as Pininfarina, Endurance, Symphonia Sgr, Grandi Molini Italiani and Techwald. He is currently a member of the board of directors of Bonfiglioli Riduttori SpA, a leader in the industrial, wind power and mobile sectors.
