Serra lived in San Francisco and worked as a lawyer in the law firm founded by her mother dedicated to estate and tax planning. Serra focused on helping women understand finance, tax planning and business. As a result of her experience, she co-founded Fund 20, an investment company dedicated to women, sustainability and Italy. In San Francisco, she was chairman of the board of the San Francisco International School, leading the school’s expansion from a kindergarten to an elementary and middle school.
