Axel is graduated in Economics from the University of Witten / Herdecke and he has over twenty years of experience in private equity, M&A and business strategy. He began his investment banking career in M&A at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and JPMorgan. Most recently, he worked as a Managing Director at EQT, one of the world’s leading private equity funds. He was responsible for the due diligence processes, preparation of investment decisions and negotiation of transactions in Europe, the USA and Singapore.  Since he left EQT, he has continued by investing on his own in start-ups and SMEs.
