With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Genoa and a Masters in Business Administration from INSEAD, Giancarlo worked as a consultant for 33 years at McKinsey & Company, until October 2020 when he was appointed Senior Partner Emeritus. Over the years he has served companies in different geographies and sectors (e.g. Energy and Transportation) and was EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) leader of McKinsey Advanced Industries, including Aerospace & Defence, Automotive & Assembly, Machinery & Plant Engineering and Industrial Electronics. Today, he is Managing Partner of GHISLANZONI Advice & Investments and an active investor in sustainable real estate and renewable energy.
