Graduated in Economics from Bocconi University and holds a Ph.D. from the US. He speaks five languages and has over 30 years of experience in the creation, growth and transformation of companies, covering the entire entrepreneurial lifecycle: from startup and venture capital, to private equity and IPO. For 15 years he worked in Brazil as CEO of three companies in the energy, consumer goods and services sectors, guiding one company from startup to IPO, one through a turnaround and a third to a successful exit with a strategic player. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of two companies listed on the São Paulo Stock Exchange, active in the cosmetics and tourism sectors. Subsequently, he worked for over 10 years in London at Pearson plc, the world leader in Education (FTSE 100), where he held the roles of Chairman and member of the Executive Committee, leading the company’s global growth and digital transformation. He is currently an active venture capital investor, with a particular interest in the fintech, edtech and healthtech sectors.
