After graduating in Medicine and Surgery in Milan with a specialisation in psychiatry and an MBA from Bocconi University, Laura began her career as a psychiatrist and then joined several pharmaceutical companies (Crinos SpA, Sirton Pharmaceuticals SpA, Foltene Laboratories) in which she held various positions, including Director of Research, CEO and President. In 2022, she founded Gentium Spa, of which she was then President and CEO, where she developed the company’s business up to its listing on the capital market in the USA. Laura has been a board member of Sorin Spa, advisor to VC Panakes Fund, board member of Molmed and Credem Private Equity SGR, Chairman of Kither Biotech and member of the investment committee of Claris Ventures. She was also Vice President of IAG and board member of biomedical startups in the neurological field, as well as president and co-founder of Bio4dreams (a private incubator dedicated to Life Sciences).
