Marco Villa

Aerospace engineer graduated from the Politecnico di Milano and specialized at the University of Kansas with a PhD in Aerospace Engineering. He began his career in 1998 in Carlo Gavazzi Space, one of the main European system integrators based in Italy, in Milan, and then moved to the United States, first for university studies (from 2000 to 2005) and then continuing at Swales Aerospace. and the Hawk Institute of Space Science. In 2007 he joined SpaceX, Elon Musk’s aerospace company, as Mission Director of the first module for commercial flights, the Dragon. Having completed his mission in SpaceX, in 2013 he founded his own company, Tyvak Nano-Satellite Systems Inc, based in Irivine (California), In 2015 he founded Tyvak International in Turin, the first international branch of his company, of which he currently holds the position of CEO.
