Club degli Investitori closes Q3 2022 with +50% invested capital and surpasses 300 members

In recent months, we have often heard about the ‘venture winter’: global and European venture capital has come to a standstill. Bucking the trend, forecasts for the Italian market show a positive scenario, with a total invested in September 2022 of €1.7B, which exceeds the amount for the whole of 2021. The Club degli Investitori also joins the growth trend, closing the first nine months of 2022 with €12M invested, or +50% compared to the same period last year.

 

Since the beginning of the year, the Club has made 7 new investments and 11 follow ons in existing investee companies, for a total of 18 deals closed, many of them in start-ups and scale-ups intent on revolutionising their sectors such as Newcleo, a company aiming to make next-generation mini nuclear reactors, Satispay, a fintech that has just become a unicorn and is transforming the payments industry, and FlexiWAN, an Israeli company revolutionising software for broadband internet services. Some of the most interesting investments in Q3 2022 include:

WeGlad, a social impact startup, Movenzia, digital company in the moblity sector, and Nebuly, AI open-source company.

Among the positive results of the third quarter was the growth in the number of Members: to date, more than 300 business angels have decided to join the Club. The number of Members living abroad (Dubai, USA, Switzerland and London) increased, in line with the strategy of increasing international presence, and female business angels
